Landslide on Water Street blocks road, but little damage is done

Port Townsend employees Chris MacDonald, left, and Rafe Thornton, clean up the last of the tons of dirt from a landslide that occurred on Water Street in Port Townsend about 4 a.m. Monday. The road was closed and vehicular traffic was diverted to other streets. It took 18 trips of 5-yard capacity dump trucks to remove the dirt and haul it to a facility on Redwood Street.
