The Port Angeles Garden Club recently donated $500 to Jeff Lunt, the principal at Franklin Elementary School, and teacher Sarah Schaefermeyer for a garden at the school. 

The club was at the school with Smokey Bear and several Department of Natural Resources employees to award prizes to the winners for the Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl drawing contest.
