Adams, who now lives in Seattle, was at the same base in Afghanistan on May 29, 2011, when Capt. Joseph Schultz and others were killed. About 75 people attended the ceremony, which included a ceremony for Logan Hall, who died on July 13, 2018. His sister, Savannah Giddings, laid a special wreath to honor him.
