YOUTH SPORTS: More than 20 teams compete at Tipoff Tourney in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Parks and Rec Tipoff Tournament was held this past weekend with more than 20 teams from northwestern Washington participating.

Boys

DRIVE, from Poulsbo, won the Boys’ 6th-Grade Blue Division by beating 90Ten/Pascal from Olympia 57-31. The Sequim Wolves finished third while the Port Angeles Green Sixers were fourth, 90Ten/Marris fifth, Port Angeles White Sixers sixth, Port Angeles White Fivers seventh and Port Angeles Green Fivers eighth.

Port Angeles White won the Boys’ 7th-Grade Division. They beat the Forks Thunder 42-37 for the title. 90Ten was third, Port Angeles Green fourth and Sequim Wolves fifth.

The Boys’ 8th-Grade Division was won by NBA (Northsound Basketball Academy of Arlington), which beat 90Ten 55-42. The Sequim Wolves were third, the Marysville SWAT fourth and Port Angeles fifth.

Girls

The North Kitsap Elite won the Girls 6th-Grade Division by beating 90Ten 22-19. The Port Angeles Apex was third.

In the Girls 8th-Grade Division, the Port Angeles Threat beat the Sequim Lady Wolves 39-35 for the championship. Olympic Avalanche White third while Mount Baker was fourth and the Port Angeles Hazard fifth.
