PORT ANGELES — The final baseball skills testing and the first softball skills testing for North Olympic Baseball and Softball will be held this Saturday at Lincoln Park.
Here are the schedules for the skills testing sessions:
Baseball
■ 12-year-olds: 9 a.m.
■ 11-year-olds: 10 a.m.
■ 10-year-olds: 11 a.m.
■ 9-year-olds: 12:30 p.m.
■ 7- and 8-year-olds: 2 p.m.
Softball
The softball testing will be this Saturday and next Saturday, March 14. The testing times will be the same both days.
■ 11- and 12-year-olds: 9 a.m.
■ 13- to 16-year-olds: 10 a.m.
■ 10-year-olds: 10 a.m.
■ 9-year-olds: 11:30 a.m.
■ 7- and 8-year-olds: 12:30 p.m.
Also, voluntary softball clinics will be offered, field conditions permitting, Monday through Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for players ages 9 to 16.
Note that participation in baseball and softball skill testing by 7-year-olds must be requested in writing prior to skill tests.
Players who are 7 years old may advance if they are ready and do not take the place of an older child.
