PORT ANGELES — Logan Luke’s 22 points led the Peninsula College women’s basketball team in an 84-43 win over last-place Shoreline at home Wednesday night.
Luke had a great night from the floor, connecting on 11 of 16 shots, while pulling in three offensive rebounds and making two steals.
The Pirates collectively hit on 32 of 62 shots (52 percent), including a solid 10 of 23 3-point tries in the win.
Peninsula also shared the ball well, with assists recorded on 24 of 32 made baskets.
Ashlynn Sharp hit 3 of 5 3s and scored 17 for the Pirates, while Kuutuuq Danner narrowly missed out on a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
Casandra White hit four 3s on her way to 14 points and Leilani Padilla came off the bench to score 12.
League update
Midway through the NWAC North slate, the Pirates (4-3, 11-8) sit in fourth place, two games back of first-place Olympic (6-1, 7-14) and in the mix for an NWAC Tournament berth.
Peninsula is back in action with a crucial game at second-place Bellevue (5-2, 9-10) on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs edged the Pirates 51-50 in the team’s NWAC North opener earlier this month.
