QUILCENE — The Rangers’ Allison Jones was named the Most Valuable Player in the Sea-Tac 1B Volleyball League, while coach Joni Crowell was named the Coach of the Year.
Jones was joined by three teammates on the Sea-Tac 1B First Team and another teammate on the Second Team.
Quilcene won the Sea-Tac 1B League and the Quad-District Tournament and went into the State 1B Tournament undefeated. The Rangers ended up with a 22-2 record and finished fourth at State.
Making First Team All-League were Rangers Emily Hitt, Bailey Kieffer and Abby Weller. Making the Second Team was Katie Bailey.
“Allison has been a valuable contributor to the Quilcene Rangers Volleyball team over the past four seasons, being instrumental in earning four state trophies. She is a dedicated athlete and is also in Running Start full-time,” said Crowell.
Jones, a senior setter, served 290 out of 302 this season (a 96 percent success rate) with 34 aces. She also had 48 kills, 454 assists and 127 digs. Her career stats over four years are 963 for 1,071 (a 90 percent serve success rate) with 136 aces. She also had 151 kills, a staggering 2,049 assists and 498 digs.
