STATE VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Quilcene earns top-four finish

YAKIMA — Quilcene made it to the Class 1B Volleyball semifinals at the Yakima SunDome on Saturday, but was held off by Pomeroy 3-0 for the Rangers’ first loss of the year.

The Rangers played a match for third place at State Saturday evening against Almira-Coulee-Hartline. The results were after press deadline, but the Rangers will do no worse than fourth at state.

The Bruins in their second state match in the afternoon lost to Naselle 3-0, but this was actually another very close match with a score of 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.
