STATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS: Neah Bay outlasts Cusick to advance to 1B semifinals

BREMERTON — Cusick led top-ranked Neah Bay 14-0 with less than a minute to play in the opening quarter of the 1B quarterfinals Friday night at Silverdale Stadium.

Two game minutes later, the Red Devils led 22-14, thanks to a long touchdown run by Cody Cummins, an interception return for a score by John Reamer and a blocked punt that was recovered in the end zone by Elisha Winck.

The Panthers kept it close through the first half before Neah Bay cruised to an 80-28 win.

In the 1B semifinals, Red Devils will next face the winner between Lummi and Wishkah Valley, who will play this afternoon in Aberdeen.
