STATE BMX QUALIFIER: More than 350 riders flock to Lincoln Park

PORT ANGELES — More than 350 riders from all around Washington participated in the USABMX state qualifier at the Lincoln Park BMX track this weekend, with kids and adults working to gain points for the state championships.

The state BMX championship will be held at Lincoln Park this year on Sept. 24.

In addition, kids raised the Lincoln Park track total for Race for Life to $14,698, the second-most raised by any track in the U.S. Chloe Holloway is the top fundraiser with $4,010, winning a season pass or $3,000 travel funds to go to grand nationals. Race for Life benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Lincoln Park riders Holloway, Kylin Weitz, Cash Coleman, Mason Wilcox-Olton and Braedyn Monette are all in the top 10 for individual fundraising in the country for USABMX, totalling $9,210 raised.
