STATE BASKETBALL: Neah Bay boys finish third; Neah Bay girls take sixth

SPOKANE — The high school basketball season came to a close Saturday with Neah Bay’s boys and girls basketball teams claiming trophies at Spokane Arena.

The Red Devils boys bounced back from a Class 1B semifinal loss to beat Shorewood Christian 55-44.

Josiah Greene led the Red Devils with 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Neah Bay girls, meanwhile, fell to Wilbur-Creston 84-46. The Red Devils bring home the sixth-place trophy.

Neah Bay senior Cierra Moss scored 22 in the loss, but the big story was that the 1B state tournament record she set Friday with 40 points was surpassed by Wilbur-Creston’s Jessica Boyer, who scored 42 in Saturday’s game.
