STATE AMERICAN LEGION UPDATE: Wilder Senior stays alive with win over Lakeside

CENTRALIA — Wilder Senior remained alive in the AAA American Legion State Tournament with a 4-2 win Tuesday night over Lakeside.

Wilder Senior got outstanding pitching performances from Brady Shimko and Bo Bradow. Bradow didn’t give up a hit in three innings pitched. The Seniors also got a home run from Tyler Bowen, while Carson Jackson went 3 for 3 with a triple.

Wilder Senior will play the Vancouver Mavericks late Wednesday afternoon. If Wilder wins that game, the seniors will play Lakeside a second time (and the sixth time this year) for the chance to play in the state championship at 1 p.m. Thursday.
