STATE 2A SOCCER TOURNAMENT: Port Angeles girls beat East Valley (Yakima) 2-0 to advance

YAKIMA — The Port Angeles soccer girls won their state 2A tournament opener, beating East Valley (Yakima) 2-0.

The Roughriders (13-8) are now the state 2A quarterfinals. They will play the winner of Wednesday’s match between Lynden (7-10-3) and West Valley (Spokane) (8-9). A date and time for the girls’ quarterfinal match has not been set.
