PORT ANGELES — Rogers dominated the final rounds at the September running of the American Sprint Boat Racing series at Extreme Sports Park outside of Port Angeles.
Rogers Racing of Lewiston, Idaho, won two out of the three classes Sunday, with the Arlington-based Jolly Rogers team in two out of the three finals.
All three finals were extremely close.
Rogers Racing won the 400 class with the No. 285 boat driven by River Rogers and navigated by Cole Keatts, winning in a time of 39.727 seconds. The Jolly Rogers boat No. 360 came in second in a time of 40.182.
In the unlimited class, the Rogers Racing boat No. 285M, driven by Ryan Rogers with Cody Bristlin navigating, won a very close final in a time of 36.628. Psycho Racing out of Albany, Ore., driven by Kyle Patrick with Chris Bowman navigating, was second at 36.889.
The modified class was won by the Check Mate No. 55 boat driven by Frank Toftemark and navigated by Kelly Toftemark of Castle Rock. They took first in the finals in a time of 43.341 with the Jolly Rogers boat No. 208, driven by TJ Burrows and navigated by Keith Brownsberger, just behind at 43.689.
The final four in the unlimited were Jolly Rogers No. 39M, Rogers Racing 285M, Wicked Racing (Dan Morrison/Sami Gustafson) of Port Angeles and Psycho Racing.
The final four in the modified class were Purcell Racing No. 154A and Purcell Racing No. 154B, Jolly Rogers No. 208 and Check Mate No. 55.
The final four in the 400 class were Bad Influence No. 156, Jolly Rogers No. 360, Velocity Racing No. 28 and Rogers Racing No. 285.
