WEIMAR, Texas — Wilder Baseball evened its record at 2-2 in 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series pool play with a dominant 6-1 win over Eagle Pass, Texas, on Tuesday evening.

The Wilder offense got a quick start.

Easton Napiontek and George Marinan both hit RBI doubles to give Wilder a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

The damage done could have been even worse as Wilder had runners at every base when Eagle Pass finally retired the side.

Wilder left the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, but this time failing to score in the inning.

But Wilder gave themselves a comfortable cushion in the third inning by scoring three runs, including two driven in by Cole Uvila, to push the lead to 5-0.

In the fifth, Justin Straight closed Wilder’s scoring with an RBI triple.
