Sports: Sequim wins, looking forward to district volleyball competition

STEILACOOM — The Sequim Wolves are on a roll in Nisqually League volleyball action and looking forward to districts.

The Wolves pounded the Steilacoom Sentinels in Wednesday night, beating them in three straight sets.

The Wolves won 25-20, 25-21, 25-19.

The Wolves (10-0 in league, 11-1 overall) were led by Alanna O”Hara, who went 15-for-17 serving with seven aces, three blocks, 18 digs and 10 perfect passes.

Britney Maloney was 12-for-14 serving with three aces, 17 digs and three kills.

Sequim coach Jennie Webber-Heilman said that things are definitely looking good as they near district play.

“We went and spied on some of the teams we might meet in districts,” said Webber-Heilman.

“We think we have a pretty good shot.”
