SPORTS: Port Townsend rallies past Sequim in girls basketball action Tuesday night

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend girls basketball team rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half to earn their first Olympic League win of the season by beating Sequim 46-42 on Tuesday night.

Kiley Maag hit two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and Irina Lyons also hit a 3 on a way to a game-high 13 points to lead Port Townsend past a game Sequim team.

“I’m real proud of our girls tonight,” Port Townsend coach Randy Maag said. “To get down 14, they didn’t unravel. That was good.

“Two close wins in a row, as hard as they are on the coach, you’ll take them. You learn some things and build off those.”
