Sports: Port Townsend, Chimacum have state playoff hopes dashed

YAKIMA — Port Townsend and Chimacum were eliminated Thursday from the 2A state basketball tournament at the SunDome.

Both teams lost loser-out games in the consolation quarterfinals.

The Chimacum boys basketball team lost 71-57 to Othello while the Port Townsend girls basketball team lost a 42-40 heartbreaker to Hoquiam in afternoon games.
