SPORTS: Port Townsend boys basketball team breaks into win column

PORT TOWNSEND— Kyle Kelly sparked the Port Townsend boys basketball team to its first victory of the year Thursday night.

Kelly swished in 21 points as the Redskins nipped the Orting Cardinals 45-44 at their own Crush in the Slush Tournament.

The Redskins improved to 1-7 while Orting fell to 0-8.

“It was good to get a win going back into Olympic League play next week,” Port Townsend coach Tom Webster said.
