PORT TOWNSEND — Klahowya got back on the winning track by beating Port Townsend 7-2 on Monday.
The Eagles (6-5, 7-7) had lost five straight Olympic League games after starting league play with five consecutive wins.
Emmett Davis and Cody Russell drove in the Redskins’ runs, with Davis belting a double and going 2 for 3 at the plate.
Drew Fagan drove in two runs for Klahowya, and Jacob Gotchall was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.
Port Townsend spread out its pitching between James Delagarza, Jacob King and Dillon Ralls.
The Redskins (0-10, 0-11) are trying to preserve their arms, as they are playing the first of three games in three consecutive days — and four games in five days — as they seek their first win of the season.
Port Townsend plays at Kingston (1-8) today.

BELLEVUE — The Cowboys picked up their second win of the season by pounding the Vikings in six innings.
Chimacum pitchers Kolby Schreier, Tracyn Anderson and Casey Settje combined to hold Bellevue Christian to just one hit in the game.
Schreier and Settje also had big games at the plate. Schreier tripled and drove a run, while Settje had two hits, three runs and an RBI.
The Cowboys (2-6, 2-8) host Charles Wright today.

BREMERTON — The streaking Roughriders were cooled off by the Trojans on Monday.
Port Angeles came into the game having won four straight game and six of seven — including handing Bremerton its first loss of the season last Thursday.
But the Riders were unable to figure out Olympic (7-4, 7-6) pitcher Shane Matheny, who fanned 10 batters in six innings.
“We didn’t play well at all,” Port Angles coach Chad Wagner said. “It’s sad to see us take such a step back after playing well for a few games.
“We let ourselves strike out 10 times to an ‘OK’ pitcher. He did his job and recognized we couldn’t make an adjustment, and kept attacking our weakness.”
The game was close until the Trojans plated six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, turning a 2-1 game into a 8-1 rout.
Marcus and Michael Konopaski each had a hit for the Riders, and Larsson Chapman added a hit and two walks.
Chase Jangula took the loss for Port Angeles (6-5) , which hosts North Mason (6-4, 9-4) on Friday at Civic Field.
“We have to play better Friday and go come out with a win,” Wagner said.

BREMERTON — The Roughriders again proved themselves to be among the best of the Olympic League by notching a mercy-rule victory over the fourth-place Trojans on Monday.
Sarah Steinman tossed a gem for Port Angles, allowing just three hits and fanning six in five innings on the mound.
At the plate, Steinman was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBI.
Maddy Hinrichs contributed two hits and two steals, and Carly Gouge drove in two runs for the Riders.
“We played a great game all-around,” Port Angeles coach Randy Steinman said.
Olympic fell to 6-3 in league play (6-6 overall), with two of its three losses coming to the second-place Riders (8-1, 9-1), and the other to third-place Kingston (5-2).
Port Angeles returns to action with a home game against North Mason (2-5, 3-5) on Friday at Dry Creek Elementary.
The Riders were scheduled to face Chimacum today, but that game has been canceled, and will not be rescheduled.

PORT TOWNSEND — The Redskins earned their first win of the season by edging the Eagles (1-7, 1-8) on Monday.
Port Townsend got off to a fast start, plating five runs in the first inning and three runs in the second.
The Redskins led 8-4 after two, and held on as Klahowya chipped away at the lead.
Pitcher Gen Polizzi earned the win for Port Townsend. She also was 2 for 4 at the plate.
Rose Gitelman also had a pair of hits for the Redskins.

BELLEVUE — The Cowboys shelled the Vikings with 20 hits and 17 runs.
Kristen Castillo and Krista Hathaway had three hits apiece and each drove in four runs for Chimacum (2-3, 3-4).
Erin Bainbridge drove in a pair of runs and also had three hits, Ashley Kelly pounded out four hits and Ryley Eldridge contributed two RBI.
Eldridge also struck out nine batters in four innings on the mound.
Cydney Nelson started for the Cowboys and struck out two hitters in three innings pitched.
Chimacum hosts Cascade Christian on Thursday and Eatonville on Friday.
The Cowboys’ game against Port Angeles, which was scheduled for today, has been canceled.

PORT TOWNSEND — The Wolves overcame windy condition and a challenging course to pick up a road win at Port Townsend Golf Club on Monday.
Sequim’s Matt Cays had the match’s low score with an 89, and teammate Jack Shea was second with a 92.
Port Townsend’s Keegan Khile placed third with a 94.
Other scores for the Wolves were Travis Priest and Alex McCracken with 98s, and Ty Jones with a 99.
Zachary Glover shot a 98 for the Redskins, Jack Bishop had a 102, Austin Khile shot 103 and Colby Martin had a 108.
Sequim improves to 5-1 on the season, while Port Townsend fell to 0-5.

Sequim’s Brianna Kettel had the high score of 56, while teammate Elisa Sallee was second with a 57.
Caitlin Stofferahn, who had her first birdie of the season on the third hole, was one stroke behind with a 58.
Megan O’Mera shot a 63 and Kaylee Ditlefsen scored a 65 for the Wolves.
Port Townsend’s lone golfer, Riley Fukano, finished with a 69.
