PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles boys swimming team still is perfect after dunking archrival Sequim in an Olympic League meet Thursday.
The Roughriders won 115-70 at William Shore Memorial Pool.
Port Angeles (10-0) placed first in nine of 12 events, outscored the Wolves in nine events and swept the 500-yard freestyle.
Tyler Burke and Ben Flowers were double winners for the Riders.
Burke won the 50 free (24.84 seconds) and the 100 free (55.25) while Flowers captured the 100 butterfly (58.41 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.38).
C.J. Urnes qualified for the West Central District meet with a time of 5:43.14. He was second to teammate John Christian (5:33.60).
Kris Wannquist was third in the 500 free for the Riders.
Other individual winners for Port Angeles were Charlie Parks in the 200 free (2:06.09) and Austin Fahrenholtz in 1-meter diving (203.35 points).
Sequim had two individual winners in Parker Steichen in the 200 individual medley (2:35.91) and Noe Calderon in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.85).
Sequim’s Jared Lindorfer qualified for the district championships in the 100 back with a time of 1:17.21 for fourth place.
“Jared has worked so hard for this achievement,” Sequim coach Linda Bingler Moats said.
The Riders also won the 200 medley relay (1:55.59) with Burke, Christian, Flowers and Urnes, and the 400 free relay (4:00.48) with Urnes, Burke, Parks and Flowers.
The Wolves, meanwhile, also won the 200 free relay (1:49.3) with Calderon, Chris Merrikin, Thomas Moores and Doug Dunbar.
It was Senior Night for the Riders because it was their final home meet.
Foreign exchange students Robo Sloboda and Anatolii Tuhari were honored along with seniors Christian (a three-year letterman), and Peterson and Flowers (both four-year lettermen).
The Riders next swim at North Kitsap in Poulsbo on Tuesday.
Boys Basketball PA C Team 50, Clallam Bay 47
CLALLAM BAY — The Roughriders came back in the fourth quarter to shade the Bruins in a nonleague game Thursday night.
Clallam Bay led 27-26 at halftime and 41-32 after three quarters of play but the Riders had an 18-6 advantage in the final period.
“We had foul trouble at the end,” Clallam Bay coach Cal Ritter said. “We’re young but we’re starting to come around now. We’re playing more physical.”
Riley Hannam led Port Angeles with 15 points while Dominique Oliver added 13.
Kyle Hess and Jacob Portnoy both had double-doubles for the Bruins.
Hess sank 16 points and had 13 rebounds while Portnoy scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Bruins next play at Eastside Academy tonight.

Girls Basketball Neah Bay 64, Clallam Bay 47
CLALLAM BAY — Ardis Pullen ripped the nets for 20 points to spark the Red Devils to the North Olympic League win Wednesday night.
Three Neah Bay players scored in double figures as Rebecca Thompson sank 15 and Cherish Moss added 13.
The Red Devils surged to a 16-8 lead after the first quarter and cruised to the win. They led 29-20 at halftime and 46-32 going into the fourth period.
Neah Bay remained perfect for the year, improving to 3-0 in league and 13-0 overall.
Clallam Bay, meanwhile, now is 1-2 in league and 8-3 overall.
The Red Devils brought down 38 rebounds with Moss leading the way with 10.
Erica Fonzi grabbed eight boards while Thompson brought down seven.
Allesha Wellever led the Bruins with 15 points while Kirstin Erickson scored nine and Jazzmine Randall and Jessica Angulo had eight each.
“Our girls put up a good fight,” Clallam Bay coach Kelly Gregory said. “There was improvement in our play from the first time we played them.”
Sarah Reeves had seven points and four assists for the Bruins while Erickson had five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Wellever led the team in steals with four, and she also had three rebounds.
“Allesha played pretty well for us,” Gregory said.
The Bruins next play at Crescent on Wednesday.

PORT ANGELES — The Roughriders pulled out a close victory in their final dual meet of the season.
The Riders were down by six points entering the 145-pound match.
Adam Raemer led the charge in turning the tables over the Knights by pinning his opponent in just over three minutes.
Montana Collins, wrestling at 152 pounds, pushed the team into the lead with a pin that the Riders never lost.
Collins, Raemer and Brandon Vaught are all seniors this year.
All three won in their final home meet. Vaught by forfeit.
Mehdi Ettehadulhagh won the 160-pound match-up for Port Angeles with a pin, as well.
“It was really terrific to see our seniors go out with wins in front of the home crowd,” Riders coach Erik Gonzalez said.
The Riders will now prepare for the district meet a week from Saturday.
Kingston 48, Sequim 30
SEQUIM — The Wolves wrestled well in their final dual meet of the season, just coming up short because of losses by forfeit.
Freshman Kenny Griffith won the 112-pound match with a pin
Derek Fruin, 119 pounds, had his opponent moments away from a pin before a Kingston injury stopped him.
The Wolves’ Mustang Riggins worked his opponent into a cradle move for the pin in just over one minute.
At 152 pounds, Dakota Hinton made quick work with a pin in 43 seconds.
Kawika Yasumura won the 160-pound match-up by injury default.
“We really worked hard tonight and wrestled well,” Wolves coach Len Borchers said.
Sequim will host the district meet beginning Feb. 6.
