SPORTS: Port Angeles gives North Kitsap its first loss of the year in girls basketball action Tuesday

POULSBO — Kiah Jones scorched the nets for 23 points as the Port Angeles girls basketball team handed North Kitsap its first loss of the season in Olympic League action Tuesday.

The Roughriders won 59-30.

“She had a good night,” coach Michael Poindexter said about Jones.

The Riders (5-2 in league, 5-3 overall) built up a 28-16 halftime lead and rolled to the victory, outscoring the Vikings (5-1, 6-1) 32-14 in the second half.
