PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles High School’s boys basketball team tuned up for the playoffs with a 16-point win over Klahowya on Tuesday night.
The Roughriders, who finish the regular season with a 9-7 Olympic League record and 10-10 overall mark, played everybody and everyone scored.
“It was a good way to end the regular season on senior night,” Port Angeles coach Wes Armstrong said.
“Everyone played, everyone scored and we had a lot of fun.”
The No. 2 Riders next have a seeding game at No. 3 Olympic in Silverdale on Friday starting at 6 p.m.
Even though Port Angeles has the higher seed, the Trojans get the home game because the site of the seeding game was picked before the season started, Armstrong explained.
The winner of Friday’s game hosts Yelm in a loser-out playoff game Monday while the loser plays at Timberline High School in another loser-out contest the same night.
Against Klahowya, the Riders stormed to a 33-23 halftime lead and a 50-29 advantage going into the final period.
The Eagles scored 27 points in the fourth quarter than 3-pointers started dropping for them.
Brandon Neet, who finished with a game-high 21 points, hit four 3s in a row.
Antonio Stevenson and Nathan Hofer shared team-scoring honors for the Riders with 13 points each.
Steve Rogers led on the boards with seven rebounds.
The Riders had only nine turnovers in the game.
Seniors playing in perhaps their final home high school game were Justin Williams, Stevenson, Tobias Thomas, Jesse Judd, Hofer, Jace Moses, Rogers and Ben Lierly.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The Red Devils were tested by the Lobos Tuesday night in their semifinal playoff, pulling out the victory in the final seconds of the contest.
Neah Bay led after three quarters by a score of 53-43.
Then the Lobos came storming back to make things interesting, scoring twice as many points in the final period to give the Red Devils a scare.
With the game tied at 60, with only 9.3 seconds remaining in regulation, Cody Bartlett became the star of the game, grabbing a Drexler Doherty follow-up miss and sinking the winning shot as time expired.
The win ensured a state tournament bid for Neah Bay.
Doherty scored 33 points for Neah Bay while hauling down eight rebounds.
Robert Moss sank 14, grabbed 12 boards, and dished out six assists in a very solid performance.
The Red Devils will play the winner of the Lummi/Mt. Rainier Christian match-up to determine their seeding for the state tourney.

SEQUIM — Frigid third-quarter shooting led to a tough loss for the Wolves in their final Olympic League game of the season.
Down by only six at the halftime break, Sequim came out and couldn’t find the basket to begin the second frame.
The Trojans were able to extend their lead to 13 going into the fourth period before the Wolves came storming back in an attempt to close the gap.
John Textor led the scoring effort for Sequim with 11 points.
Kenny Meier added 10 while senior Jordan Alcafaras sank six for Sequim (9-7 in league, 10-10 overall).
The Wolves play North Mason on Friday to determine the No.2-No.3 seeds for the district tournament.
That game will be played at Klahowya High School in Silverdale.

SILVERDALE — Despite playing without star Jessica Madison, the Roughriders ended the season undefeated in the Olympic League.
Port Angeles concluded regular season play 16-0 in league and 18-2 overall, earlier winning the league championship.
Madison missed the game because of an illness.
Coach Mike Knowles said this is no Port Angeles league winning record. He has coached a couple of other teams that have gone unbeaten in league.
“It’s still quite an accomplishment because it is not easy to go undefeated,” Knowles said.
The Olympic League No. 1 Riders next have a seeding game against Western Cascade Conference champion Capital there next Tuesday night.
The two teams then advance to the West Central District tournament, the winner the No. 1 seed and the loser the No. 2 seed. District is a double-elimination event.
Capital gets the home game because the two leagues alternate who gets to host the seeding each year.
Alison Knowles ripped the nets for a game-high 20 points with fellow scoring star Madison resting with strep throat.
Skylar Jones scored 10 points in the game and Taylyn Jeffers added nine.
Jeffers dominated the boards with 14 rebounds while Kiah Jones had four assists.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Lummi ended the Bruins’ season in a Class 1B loser-out playoff heartbreaker Monday night.
Clallam Bay led by five points early in the third quarter but Lummi charged ahead for good.
The Bruins, 14-6 on the year, will lose four seniors to graduation, including starting guards Jessica Angulo and Allesha Wellever.
“Our two senior guards will be missed,” Clallam Bay coach Kelly Gregory said.
Also graduating are standout players Sarah Reeves and Courtney Willis.
The difference in the Lummi game was the absence of Clallam Bay’s post player, Reeves, Gregory said.
Reeves sprained her ankle early in the North Sound tournament game and wasn’t able to play after that, according to Gregory.
“We can’t live on the outside,” Gregory said. “We needed Reeves on the inside.”
It didn’t help in the second half, either, when Wellever quickly picked up her fourth foul early in the third quarter and had to go to the bench.
“That hurt us a little bit,” Gregory said.
The Bruins led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and 18-16 at halftime but couldn’t hold on.
Angulo was high scorer for the game with 17 points. Rela Jones scored 15 for Lummi.
“Jessica stepped up for us,” Gregory said.
Freshman Jazzmine Randall brought down a team-high eight rebounds.
“Allesha had another good all-round defensive game with five rebounds, four steals and three assists,” Gregory said.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — In what was an unusually sloppy game as far as ball-handling goes for the Red Devils, consistent teamwork prevailed.
While forcing 34 turnovers by the Hawks, Neah Bay actually gave up 27 of their own.
Very uncharacteristic of the solid Red Devils team that has gone undefeated this season.
Ardis Pullen led all scorers with 15 points while hauling down 11 rebounds.
Erica Fonzi added eight points, joined by Stephanie Greene with eight points, as well.
