PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Roughriders lost six players to graduation last spring but boys basketball coach Lee Sinnes doesn’t expect his team to skip a beat.
“I’m pretty darn excited about the season,” said Sinnes, who has coached the Riders for 23 years.
“As a group, these kids have really put a lot of time in the game,” he continued. “They have played in summer tournaments and they played in the Las Vegas Tournament for their AAU team.”
Six players return to the varsity team. Some saw limited action because last year’s team was loaded with seniors.
“Now they’re stepping in,” Sinnes said. “We really haven’t missed a beat much.”
