SPORTS: Port Angeles beats Port Townsend in girls basketball action

PORT ANGELES — Kiah Jones and Maddy Hinrichs scored 12 points each to spark the Port Angeles girls basketball team to a 60-33 Olympic League victory over Port Townsend on Monday night.

Irina Lyons netted a game-high 18 points for the Redskins, scoring most of her points on drives to the basket.

“They were able to drive and cut all night long,” Port Angeles coach Michael Poindexter said. “They shot only two 3-pointers in the game.”
