MOSES LAKE — The North Olympic 10U All-Stars of Port Angeles were eliminated Sunday after losing 13-9 to Blaine at the Cal Ripken Baseball state championships.

Port Angeles finished 5-1 in the tournament.

Strong play

Port Angeles fell just one win short of the semifinals after losing in the single-elimination quarterfinals.

In Sunday’s first game, Port Angeles beat Ephrata 11-0.

Jaidon Sieble and Ryan Begley both had great pitching appearances on the mound.

The whole team was still on fire at the plate with a total of 16 hits in four innings

In Sunday’s second-game loss, Port Angeles still had great pitching by Joel Wood and Johnnie Young.

Although their bats seemed to be a little off by Port Angeles standards, North Olympic had a total of 12 hits in six innings.

Port Angeles players are holding their heads high after they 10-runned two of the four teams playing in the semifinals.
