PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College men’s and women’s soccer teams continue to roll after they swept two different schools Saturday at Wally Sigmar Field.
The women remain perfect on the year after stomping hapless Yakima Valley 10-1 in NWAACC West Division action.
The Pirates improve to 5-0-0 in conference and 10-0-0 overall while Yakima falls to 0-5-0 and 0-6-1.
Irene Jones and Jordan Dinneen scored two goals each for Peninsula while Dominique Niedziela, Alma Garcia, Briana Afoa, Annie Armstrong, Deidra Woodward and Melissa Delgado had a goal apiece.
Niedziela got the ball rolling by scoring in the ninth minute while Garcia was just 5 minutes behind for a quick 2-0 lead.
The Pirates had an assist for every goal as Dinneen, Sydney Bullington and Shelbi Vienna-Hallam dished out two assists each.
Also earning assists were Stephanie Zamudio, Miranda Muotka, Jones and Kendra Miner.
Peninsula next plays at Lower Columbia in Longview on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. conference start.
Lower Columbia is 1-3-0 in the West Division and 2-5-1 overall.

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula men held off North Idaho in a nonconference match.
The Pirates, still 3-0-0 in the West Division, improve to 9-1-0 overall.
Angel Guerra recorded the shutout with five saves.
Henrique Noujeimi scored the first goal in the 40th minute on an assist by Irvin Somera.
Then in the 78th minute, North Idaho scored an own goal for the final score.
The Pirates next host Trinity Lutheran in another nonconference battle Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m. at Wally Sigmar Field.
