AMANDA PARK — The game was billed as the Class 1B Game of the Week between two top-five football powerhouses.
Defending state champion Neah Bay found a last-minute date with No. 5-ranked Wishkah Valley when Wishkah Valley found itself without an opponent last weekend.
The game was held at a neutral site, Lake Quinault High School, but the location didn’t help out the Loggers of Aberdeen, who were a lot closer to Amanda Park than the Red Devils.
Neah Bay, 3-0, put on a clinic by trouncing Wishkah 80-46 after building up a 30-6 halftime lead.
The Loggers played closer in the second half, only being outscored 50-40.
Quarterback Josiah Greene did enough for three players in this game as he threw four touchdown passes, ran for another score and ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Joey Monje contributed three touchdown runs while Leyton Doherty caught two of Greene’s TD passes.
Tyler McCaulley also had a banner day by rushing for two touchdowns and catching a TD pass.
Zeke Greene caught the other TD pass.
Monje ended up with a game-high 188 yards on the ground while Josiah Greene had 143 and McCaulley added 85.
Greene also passed for 237 yards and went 15 of 26 with two interceptions.
Zeke Greene led in the receiving department with nine catches for 106 yards.
It wasn’t all about offense for Josiah Greene as he also had two sacks to go along with nine tackles, eight solo.
Josh Monette also had two sacks to go with his four solo tackles.
Doherty had a fumble recovery and eight tackles, five solo.
Elijah Winck also had a fumble recovery while McCaulley earned 1.5 sacks with six tackles, four solo.

Port Townsend
LANGLEY — Four Port Townsend runners earned individual medals at the South Whidbey Invitational meet, which featured 28 teams from Washington and British Columbia.
Medals were awarded to the top 15 varsity runners in each division.
The Redskins took two medals in Boys Division 2 with Xavier Frank capturing fourth place (17:42.48) and Ryan Clarke taking 10th (18:08.13).
In Girls Division 2 competition, Brittany Grant claimed fifth (20:59.37) and Peri Muellner captured 15th (22:22.34).
The race course, located at the high school and including South Whidbey Community Park, was 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) in length, comprised of forest trail, grass, gravel and track surface with ideal 70-degree weather.
Other varsity results for Port Townsend boys were Sean Dwyer in 76th (20:45.11), Tristan Story in 84th (21:09.23), Luca Freier in 91st (21:24.88), Ian McLaughlan in 103rd (22:56.06), and Jackson Schott in 107th (25:29.33).
For the girls, Cassie Ann Ross took 30th (23:52.55), Frehiwot Piatt in 46th (26:01.07), Kyra Weidner in 47th (26:01.50), Hannah Trailer in 48th (26:33.99), and Aurora Germeau in 53rd (31:22.35).
