SPORTS: Lindbergh bounces Port Angeles from 2A district baseball tourney by one run; Quilcene softball wins doubleheader

Port Angeles finishes the year with a winning 10-9 record after starting the season 0-3.

“We had a great season and I am very proud of my boys,” Port Angeles coach Chad Wagner said.

“They have come a long way from starting the season 0-3 to making it to districts.

“They have created and will share these memories for the rest of their life. I cannot tell you how many times they were complimented on how they played the game the right way and were a very ‘classy’ team.

“It’s sad to see us end the season and I hope every kid on this team understands how proud I am of them.

“This should fuel the fire for the underclassmen as they just got a taste of playoffs.”
