FORKS — The Forks girls basketball team remained winless in the SWL-Evergreen Division after falling to Class 1A’s tenth-ranked Toledo Indians 66-33 on Friday night.
Forks’ Mariah Dillard had nine points and 12 rebounds, while teammate Gwen Gillett had 12 points and six rebounds.
Yet that wasn’t near enough against a first-place Toledo team (6-0 in league, 11-1 overall) that saw eight of its players score. That included Tiffany Tornow, who had a game-high 15 points.
“I knew it was going to be a battle coming into it,” Forks coach Dave Zellar said.
“We did well in the first half of the game and then we kind of fell back a little bit.”
Forks (0-6, 3-9) closes out the first half of its league schedule when it hosts winless Rochester (0-6, 0-11) on Tuesday.

CLALLAM BAY 77, CRESCENT 17
CLALLAM BAY — The Bruins jumped out to a 31-6 lead going to the locker room at halftime, then poured it on in the second half, leaving the Loggers in the dust Friday night.
Jessica Angulo led the way for Clallam Bay (1-1, 8-2) with a double-double, scoring 19 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out seven assists. Alisha Welever sank 13 and had eight steals.
Kirstin Erickson added 12 points for the Bruins and teammate Sarah Reeves chipped in nine points and nine boards.
The Loggers’ Kylie Mitz scored 11 points to lead the way for Crescent.
“We’re a very young team this year, yet with each game we continue to grow,” Loggers coach Terry Kahler said.
Clallam Bay hosts archrival Neah Bay on Wednesday.
Crescent (0-2, 1-8) plays at Neah Bay on Friday.

NEAH BAY — The Red Devils beat up on Wishkah Valley 70-23 on Friday night, then stormed past the Highland Christian Knights on Saturday to keep their undefeated season intact.
Neah Bay’s pressure defense created 71 turnovers in the two games.
Alisha Kallappa led all scorers on Saturday with 21 points and added six rebounds for the Red Devils (2-0, 12-0).
Erika Fonzi had 14 points while teammate Stephanie Greene hauled down seven boards.
Cherish Moss led the Red Devils on Friday night, scoring 16 and grabbing 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Rebecca Thompson had a double-double also, sinking 13 points and snagging 11 boards. Ardis Pullen had 13 points in the game while Kallappa added 12.
Neah Bay travels to archrival Clallam Bay on Wednesday for a North Olympic League showdown.
