JOYCE — Crescent volleyball has yet to drop a game this year after beating Taholah 3-0 in nonleague action Thursday night.
The Loggers also went undefeated in the North Olympic League four-team jamboree Tuesday.
Crescent (1-0) beat Taholah 25-19, 25-14, 25-14.
Taholah was one of the few teams to beat the Loggers last year.
“Taholah is a lot younger this year,” Crescent coach Alex Baker said.
The Loggers dominated the entire match despite playing a new offense, the coach added.
As a team, Crescent served 90 percent.
Bonny Hazelett led the Loggers by making 14-of-15 serves with an ace and two kills at the net.
Jandi Frantz earned two blocks with a tip and six kills, and she was 9-of-11 in serving with two aces.
Kelly Belford, meanwhile, was a perfect 6-of-6 in serves and she did a good job of directing the offense.
The Loggers next host Sequim JV on Monday.

SEQUIM — The Wolves (1-0) opening the 2011 season on a strong note Thursday night.
Sequim won the nonleague match 25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 25-13.
Setter Taylor Balkan had 26 assists for the Wolves and was 19 for 19 in serves with three aces and Haleigh Harrison was strong at the net with 14 kills.
Harrison also earned three aces.
Alexas Besan collected nine kills.
Sequim next hosts Port Townsend in a non-counting match Tuesday night.

PORT ANGELES — The Roughriders (1-1) made a couple of mistakes and paid for it in the nonleague victory Thursday night.
“This was a fairly even game,” coach Scott Moseley said.
The Riders had four shots on goal to the Knights’ five in the defensive battle.
Shayla Northern scored the Riders’ first goal in the 20th minute on an assist by Kaitlin Boston while Kylie Jeffers scored the second goal at the 72nd minute on an assist by Danielle Schimschal.
Jeffers was named the transition player in the match while Paxton Rodocker was selected as the defensive player and Northern the offensive player.
The Riders next play at Klahowya in a nonleague game Saturday at 1 p.m.

FORKS — The Cowboys (1-0) won the battle of the up-and-coming teams on the North Olympic Peninsula with the nonleague victory Thursday.
Chimacum had only two wins last year while the Spartans went winless.
Forks (0-1), with 10 freshmen on varsity, is looking toward the future, first-year coach Andrew Peterson said.
“Overall, the girls played well and they played hard,” Peterson said.
“We are young but there is light at the end of the tunnel for us.”
The Cowboys led 4-1 at halftime.
Freshman Mariana Gomez scored one goal for the Spartans while senior Sierra Noles had the other.
Noles just missed scoring a second goal.
“The Chimacum goalkeeper did a pretty fantastic effort to save it,” Peterson said.
Corinna Gaytan played well on offense for the Spartans while Kaylea Kraft and Alvina Carter played well on defense, according to Peterson.
Forks opens Southwest Washington League-Evergreen Division action Tuesday at Tenino and then travels to Elma on Thursday.
