PORT ANGELES — Crescent dominated the boys and girls North Olympic League sub-district track and field championships Wednesday at Port Angeles High School.
Crescent swept all relays, three for the girls and two for the boys, to run past league rivals Neah Bay and Clallam Bay.
The Crescent boys, led by double winners Dylan Christie and Denis Claes, easily won with 97 points to the Red Devils’ 42 and the Bruins’ 34.
The Logger girls compiled 73 points behind a double win by Kylie Mitts.
Clallam Bay was runner-up with 44 and Neah Bay third with 30.
In boys competition, Christie won the 400 meters and the triple jump while Claes took the 110 hurles and the shot put.
Neah Bay’s Titus Pascua had the best performance of the day with a triple win as he took the 100- and 200-meter sprints and also captured first in the long jump.
Another boys double winner was Clallam Bay’s Connor McKay, who earned wins in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs.
Crescent won 12 boys events and nine girls activities.
Mitts took first places in the discus with a throw of 85 feet even and the javelin with a toss of 119 feet even.
There were three doubles winners for the girls. Other doubles winners were Clallam Bay’s Allesha Welever, who was tops in the 100- and 200-meter sprints, and Clallam Bay’s Melissa Willis, who took the high jump and the long jump.
