CLALLAM BAY — For the second straight year, Clallam Bay’s Miriam Wonderly has been named the North Olympic League offensive MVP.
The defensive MVP for the NOL was Neah Bay’s Grace Buzzell and the coach of the year was the Red Devils’ Rebekah Monette.
Making the first-team NOL all-league were Wonderly and her Bruins’ teammate Hannah Olson, and Ocean Aguirre, Buzzell, Faye Martine and Patience Swan, all of Neah Bay.
Making the second NOL all-league team were Clallam Bay’s Kaitlynn Tyree and Sidney Smith, Neah Bay’s Ruth Greene, Crescent’s Casey Hale and Jasmine O’Neel and Chief Kitsap’s Paisha Carlon.
Sequim swim results
PORT ANGELES — Sequim’s Jax Thaxton won two individual events and contributed to a team relay win in a swim meet last week against Port Angeles.
Thaxton won the 50 freestyle in a time of 23.81 seconds and the 100 freestyle in a time of 53.70. He was also a member of the 200 freestyle relay along with Christopher Tadlock, Kaleb Needoba and Alex Berikoff in a time of 1:45.29.
Sequim’s Qilliam Payne won the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:17.01.
Port Angeles won the meet with a score of 105-74. Roughrider winners were previously published, but Sequim results were not yet available.
