Women’s soccer skills camp runs Monday-Aug. 20

SEQUIM — A summer Women’s Soccer Skills Camp will be offered by Northern Peninsula Football Club beginning Monday and running weekly through Aug. 20.

The camp will meet at the Haller Fields, 500 N. Blake Ave., from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

All skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome.

The cost is $80.

Scholarships are available.

Demo derby tix

FORKS — Tickets for the Forks Old Fashioned Fourth of July Demolition Derby will be sold at three locations.

Tickets are $10 (cash only) and will be sold Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Forks Outfitters Patio, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Forks Forum office or after the parade ends Thursday at the base of the Tillicum Park Arena by the old tennis courts.

Kids ages 2 and younger are free.

Strollers require a ticket. No wagons, animals, pop-up canopies or coolers are allowed.

Gates open at 1 p.m. Thursday with the derby starting at 3 p.m.

Hoops camp/clinic

PORT ANGELES — A summer basketball camp for boys and girls entering grades three through eight this fall will be held July 15-18.

The camp will be held at the Port Angeles High School gymnaisium with third-through-fifth graders attending from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and sixth-through-eighth graders from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

All players will receive a camp T-shirt, four days of instruction, games, contests, all held in a fun atmosphere.

Basketball skills and fundamentals will be taught by Port Angeles players and coaches.

The cost is $75 at the door, with checks made out to Port Angeles Boys Basketball.

Players should dress to play basketball and bring court shoes.

Roughriders boys head coach Kasey Ulin also will offer a shooting clinic at the high school from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 22-24.

The cost is $75 at the door.

PORT ANGELES — A basketball shooting skills clinic for boys and girls entering fourth-through-eighth grade this fall will be offered July 22-24 by Port Angeles High School boys basketball coach Kasey Ulin.

Ulin will provide instruction on shooting mechanics, drills, techniques and ways to become an elite shooter.

All players will receive a camp T-shirt, 1-on-1 coaching and drills to work on at home.
