Big Hurt update

PORT ANGELES — The deadline for getting T-shirts for registering for the the Big Hurt has passed, but registration will stay open until Sept. 22, the day before the race. The race is having a “no t-shirt sale” with a 20 percent discount from the entry fee for registering for Iron Division or Team Division. Use the code NOTSHIRT to get the discount.

The course has also been updated. The mountain bike leg has moved back to the Foothills trail system from the Dry Hill trail system. The route earlier had been moved to Dry Hill because of a pending logging operation, but race organizers just received word that the Foothills trails system will remain open until Oct. 1. The course will be essentially the same as the past two years.
