SPORTS BRIEFS: Trio of Port Angeles softball players earn all-state honors; Sprint boat tickets and camping spots on sale now

Three PAHS softballers earn all-state honors

PORT ANGELES — The Washington State Softball Coaches Association released its Class 2A All-State team and three Port Angeles softball players received honors.

Senior outfielder Sierra Robinson and junior outfielder Ella Holland were voted to the All-State second team.

Woodland pitcher Olivia Grey and coach Tom Christensen were picked as the 2A MVP and Coach of the Year, respectively, after the Beavers won the state championship.

Sprint boat tickets

PORT ANGELES — Tickets and reserved camping spots for the two upcoming sprint boat races on Saturday, July 28 and Sept. 29 at Extreme Sports Park are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com.

Ticket prices are $20 for adults (ages 16 and older); $15 for seniors (55 and older) and the military; $10 for kids ages 6 to 15 and free for kids age 5 and under.

Camping fees are $25 for Friday through Sunday and $35 for Thursday through Sunday.

Pit passes are available at the event only for an additional $5.

Ticket and camping fees will rise by $5 in all categories beginning July 11.
