BREMERTON — The North Olympic Track Club dominated the Bremerton Jaguars meet on Saturday, winning eight events in three age groups.
The meet was attended by eight teams from the Bremerton and Tacoma area as well as unattached individuals.
Riley Pyeatt and Lily Halberg from NOTC each won three individual events. Halberg, competing in the 11-12 age group, won the 100 meters in 13.81 seconds, the 200 mters in 29.03, and the long jump with a leap of 12 feet, 7 1/2 inches .
Pyeatt, competing in the 13-14 age division, won the 100 meters in 13.34, the 200 meters in 28.60 and the 400 meters in 1:01.07. Her 400-meter time is currently the 75th fastest time in the nation in her age group. She also led off a victorious 4×100-meter relay team with Eve Burke, Jayde Gedelman, and Bailee Larson.
Burke won the long jump (14 feet, 2 1/2 inches) and the high jump at 4-6. She came in second in the 100 meters with a personal record of 13.50.
Maryrose Halberg won the 9-10 year-old division 100 meters with a time of 15.56, and was second in the 200 meters at 33.89. She was less than an inch behind the winner in the long jump with a mark of 10-5 for second place.
Kennedy Bruch had a strong showing with two all-time best marks in the 200 meters (28.45) and 400 meters (1:05.07).
In addition to her winning relay leg, Larson placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 4-0 and was third in the long jump at 12-7, just off her personal record.
Gedelman earned fourth in the long jump (11-5), seventh in the 400 meters and 11th in the 200.
Overall, seven girls took home eight golds, three silvers and a bronze.
