PORT ANGELES — Registration is underway for the Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department’s coed softball league.

The season will begin the week of July 22 and contests will be held at Shane Park and the Elks playfields.

The cost is $650 per team.

Players without a team can call Dan Estes at 360-417-4557 and ask to be placed on a “free agent” list.

Sprint boat tickets

PORT ANGELES — Tickets and reserved camping spots for the two upcoming sprint boat races on Saturday, July 27, and Saturday, Sept. 7 at Extreme Sports Park are available online at www.brownpaper tickets.com.

Tickets also can be purchased in Port Angeles at Mount Pleasant IGS, Mobile Music and Lower Elwha Food & Fuel and in Sequim at Dog House Powder Coating.

Ticket prices are $25 for adults (ages 16 and older); $20 for seniors (55 and older) and the military; $15 for kids ages 6 to 15 and free for kids age 5 and under.

Pit passes are available at the event only for an additional $5.

Camping fees are $30 for Friday through Sunday and $40 for Thursday through Sunday.

Canopy spots and VIP passes are available by calling Kelie Morrison at 360-460-2601.

Run A Muck returns

PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for Run A Muck, an obstacle course mud run, at Extreme Sports Park on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Individual registration fees through July 31 for ages 14 and older are $40; $25 for ages 10-13. Prices will rise by $5 in these age groups beginning Aug. 1.

Kids 10 and younger are $10.

Teams of 10 or more receive discounts.

Proceeds benefit Pennies for Quarters, a group that works to provide shelter, counseling and other services for homeless veterans.
