Boys and Girls Club golf tourney

SEQUIM — The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula’s 24th annual golf tournament and fundraiser is Friday, May 8, at Cedars at Dungeness.

The tournament is a four-person scramble. Entry is $100 per person and includes green fees, cart, practice range, a commemorative hat, complimentary lunch and a player goodie bag.

Prizes will be awarded to the first-place golfers in the men’s and women’s divisions, as well as those who finish 19th.

Prior to the tournament, players can putt for wine and visit with Irrigation Festival royalty.

Jefferson County adult softball

PORT TOWNSEND — The registration for the Jefferson County Parks and Recreation summer coed adult softball league runs through Monday.

The team registration fee is $385.

Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays after workday hours. They will be played at H.J. Carroll Park, Irondale Park and Memorial Field.

Teams from Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, Brinnon, Quilcene, Port Hadlock, Irondale, Nordland, Pleasant Harbor, Chimacum and everywhere in between are welcome.

A coaches meeting will be held Friday, May 1, at 6 p.m. at the recreation center at 620 Tyler Street in Port Townsend.
