SPORTS BRIEF: Olympic 14U wins tournament

TACOMA — The Olympic 14u baseball team made a remarkable run to the GSL Regional Title in Tacoma earlier this month when the local boys had to battle through the loser’s bracket after a Game One loss. Olympic won seven straight games after its one-run loss to open the tournament and defeated the favored Auburn Bulldogs 8-2 to claim the championship.

Hoops camp slated in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles boys basketball is running a youth basketball camp Tuesday through Thursday at Port Angeles High School for kids in grades 3 to 8. The cost is $40 per camper and all campers receive a t-shirt.

The camp will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for kids in grades 3 to 5. Grades 6 through 8 will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The camp will be run by Roughriders head coach Kasey Ulin and Port Angeles High School players. To register, call Ulin at (360) 640-1845 or you can register at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Port Angeles High School.
