SEATTLE — Reports are swirling that the Mariners are part of a blockbuster trade that will see one, possibly two aces dealt.

www.SI.Com is reporting that the Mariners are part of the three-team trade that would send Roy Halladay from the Toronto Blue Jays to Philadelphia Phillies.

There is no word yet how the Mariners are involved, but the report says all signs indicate Phillies starter and World Series workhorse Cliff Lee would be traded to the Mariners as part of the deal.

The magazine reports the deal is complex pending whether Halladay accepts a long term contract with Philadelphia, which the magazine says is just a formality.
