SILVERDALE — Natalie Steinman homered, drove in three runs and scored three runs to lead Port Angeles to a 15-4 nonleague blowout win over Klahowya.
“[We] got solid pitching and hit the ball all over the park,” Roughriders coach Randy Steinman said of Friday’s game.
“It was another great team effort.”
Steinman notched four of Port Angeles’ 18 hits off Klahowya starter Amber Bumbalough, the reigning Olympic League 1A Division MVP.
Nizhoni Wheeler was 3 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs for the Riders, while Sierra Robinson went 3 for 3 with three runs and a stolen base.
Hope Wegener picked up the win on the mound, allowing one run on three hits in three innings pitched.
Port Angeles (4-0) hosts Kingston on Tuesday to open Olympic League 2A Division play.

CHIMACUM — The Spartans overcame an early 10-2 deficit and rallied for a nonleague win in extra innings.
“We got good pitching from Bailee Kratzer and outstanding relief from Britney Dean,” Forks coach Scott Bennett said of Friday’s game.
“Chimacum fought back to send it into extra innings, but [we] put some runs on the board and Dean wrapped it up.”
Sarah Adams hit her first career home run, a solo shot in the fourth inning for the Spartans.
Bennett said Julia Lausche had another good game at the plate for Forks (0-1, 1-1).
The Spartans visit Rochester (3-1, 4-1) on Tuesday.
Chimacum (3-2) hosts Kingston on Thursday.
Sequim 9, Bremerton 0
BREMERTON — Shelby Jones and Isabelle Dennis combined to no-hit the Knights in the Olympic League 2A Division opener for both schools.
Jones pitched a perfect four innings, and racked up four strikeouts in Friday’s game.
Dennis closed out the game, allowing just one walk in three innings for Sequim (1-0, 5-1).
Allysen Montellius and Jordan Bentz each hit solo home runs for the Wolves.
Bentz went 3 for 4 at the plate, including a triple, and scored twice.
Adrienne Haggerty added a two-run double, Nicole Anders hit an RBI double, and Chloe Sparks drove in two runs and scored twice for Sequim.
The Wolves host North Kitsap (0-2) on Tuesday.
