ROWING: OPRA returns to competition

BAINBRIDGE — The Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association traveled this past Saturday to its first race since late 2019 on Bainbridge Island.

The team is under new coaching by Courtnie Hutchinson.

Harper McGuire took second place in the girls single-person, while Ella Schulz took third.

Brenna Murphy took fourth in her first-ever race in the girls’ novice race.

Schulz and McGuire also took fourth in the two-person boat race.

OPRA rowers will travel to the USRowing Northwest Youth Championships May 21-23 in Vancouver.
