Olympic League 1A Division All-League football
PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend and Chimacum football players recently received recognition on the Nisqually/Olympic League All-League Team in voting conducted by league coaches.
Redhawks senior Wesley Blue was a two-way selection along the offensive and defensive lines for Port Townsend. He was joined on the first-team defense by fellow senior Noa Montoya.
Montoya also was a second-team pick at punter.
Senior Dylan Tracer was a two-way second-team selection, earning nods at running back and linebacker for Port Townsend.
Chimacum senior offensive lineman Jacob Williamson was a first-team pick for the Cowboys.
Senior Carson McConnell earned a second-team nod at wide receiver for Chimacum, while junior Bjorn Devas was a second-team pick at both tight end and defensive back.
Three Cowboys sophomores also garnered second-team honors.
Offensive lineman Chris Fair, defensive lineman Robbie Collier and linebacker Anson Jones all made the second team.
Cascade Christian senior Isaiah Zetterberg was voted league MVP, while Cougars’ classmate Parker Johnson was tabbed as Offensive Player of the Year.
Klahowya’s Hunter Wallis was the choice as Defensive Player of the Year.
Olympic League 2A spikers
PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles and Sequim volleyball players were named to the All-Olympic League 2A Division Volleyball Team in voting conducted by league coaches.
Sequim junior setter Kalli Wiker was a second-team pick for the Wolves. Wiker also was Sequim’s Sportsmanship representative.
Port Angeles freshman Lily Halberg was a second-team selection at libero for the Roughriders. Senior defensive specialist Marie Burns was Port Angeles’ Sportsmanship representative.
North Mason senior outside hitter/defensive specialist Hannah Fredrickson was voted league MVP. Bulldogs senior libero Rebekah Fredrickson was picked as Defensive Player of the Year.
Olympic League 1A spikers
PORT TOWNSEND — Two Port Townsend and two Chimacum players made the All-Olympic League 1A Division Volleyball team.
League coaches voted Redhawks senior middle hitter Izzy Hammett and senior right-side hitter/defensive specialist Sierra Ruegg to the team.
Cowboys’ sophomore outside hitter Akira Anderson and sophomore middle Sophie Patterson also were selected for first-team honors.
Port Townsend junior setter Claudia Garfias and Chimacum junior libero Denise Lopez were recognized for their sportsmanship.
North Olympic spikers
PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic League has released its All-League Volleyball Team.
Neah Bay sophomore Oceana Aguirre was voted Offensive MVP while junior teammate Grace Buzzell was picked as Defensive MVP.
The two Red Devils were joined on the squad by senior teammate Faye Martinez, Cei’J Gagnon and junior Ruth Greene.
Clallam Bay junior Patience Swan rounded out the first-team selections.
Three Bruins were second-team picks with senior Rainee Signor, freshman Koren Cumming and eighth-grader Amber Swan all making the team.
Crescent sophomore Jessica Schmidt and freshman JoCy Kazlauskas also made the second team.
