PREP VOLLEYBALL: Sequim sweeps Kingston, remains solidly in third

SEQUIM — The Sequim volleyball team swept Kingston 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-20) to remain in third place and postseason in the Olympic League.

After Tuesday’s matches, Bainbridge remains in first in the Olympic League at 8-0, North Kitsap in second at 7-1 and Sequim third at 6-2. Four teams from the Olympic League go to postseason.

Sydney Clark served 10-for-12 and five aces, four digs and five digs. Rose Gibson served 13-for-15 with seven kills and three aces.

Arianna Stovall had a monster game, serving 12-for-13 with a pair of aces, five kills and a season-high seven stuff blocks. She added seven digs.

Setter Kenzie Berglund served 6-for-8 with four kills, six digs and 18 assists, while Brianna Palenik served 8-for-9. Ashton Reichner also served 6-for-6.

While the Wolves are in a solid third place, two full games ahead of fourth-place Olympic (4-4). Coach Jennie Webber-Heilman Heilman said she thinks Sequim is capable of beating North Kitsap and getting past the Vikings.
