Bainbridge OK’d

PORT ANGELES — Bainbridge High School will participate in Olympic League athletics again in the 2021-2022 school year after a vote of league principals.

The Spartans joined the Olympic League on an interim basis in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and applied for an additional year to league athletic directors last week.

That proposal was voted down by league ADs seeking a longer membership commitment.

Bainbridge, formerly an Olympic League member, spent 20 years in Seattle’s Metro League before the pandemic-inspired push to a regional schedule.
