PORT ANGELES — Sequim senior Miguel Moroles has been chosen as the Olympic League 2A First Team quarterback, according to the school’s athletic director, Dave Ditlefsen.
Moroles is joined on the first team by sophomore wideout Bailey Earley, junior linebacker Chris Whitaker and sophomore defensive back Dylan Lott.
Junior defensive end Jack Shea made the second team and senior Josiah Anastasi earned honorable mention at defensive back.
The full team will be released soon by the league.
All-league soccer
The full Olympic League 2A and 1A girls soccer All-League teams were released with Port Angeles’ junior midfielder Maddie Boe and senior defender Cami Raber on the 2A first team along with Sequim senior defender/goalkeeper Shelby Lott.
Port Angeles coach Scott Moseley shared 2A Coach of the Year honors with North Mason’s Mitchell James.
North Kitsap’s Gemma Ferland was named Olympic League MVP.
Sequim senior Maeve Harris was named to the second team, along with Roughriders freshman forward Emily Boyd and senior midfielder Emma Moseley.
1A Division
Port Townsend goalkeeper Malia Henderson and defender McKinzie Ginther earned first-team honors in the 1A Division along with Chimacum keeper Kyah McKinlay and defender Mechelle Nisbet.
Klahowya’s Izzy Severns and McKenzie Cook were named Co-MVP’s.
Port Townsend coach Colin Foden earned the nod as Coach of the Year.
All-league volleyball
Sequim’s Emma LeBlanc was selected as the 2A Division’s Defensive MVP, and was joined on the first team by classmates Alyse Armstrong and Emily Wallner.
Rylie Roberts earned a spot on the second team for the Wolves.
Port Angeles’ setter/outside hitter Emily Johnson and outside hitter Elizabeth DeFrang earned honorable mention.
The Rougheriders earned the Team Sportsmanship Award, tying with Olympic.
North Kitsap’s Sarah Holt was tabbed as Offensive MVP.
Bremerton’s Clay Blackwood was picked as Coach of the Year.
1A Division
Port Townsend senior setter Abby McGuire and libero Megan Lee, along with Chimacum libero Alyssa Hamilton, earned first-team 1A Divison honors.
The Redhawks’ outside hitter Rio Golden and Cowboys’ outside hitter Kiersten Snyder were named honorable mention.
Klahowya setter Lynzey Schoening was voted Offensive MVP and her teammate, libero Cheyenne Stefan, was selected as Defensive MVP.
Klahowya coach Dragan Karadzic was picked as Coach of the Year.
