SEQUIM — Sequim fell at home to Class 3A Central Kitsap 72-49 in an Olympic League boys basketball contest Wednesday.
The Wolves struggled to score from the outset against the Cougars, falling behind 33-19 at the break.
Sequim sophomore Isaiah Moore scored 16 of his team-high 19 points after the halftime break. Moore added a team-high eight rebounds.
Erik Christiansen had 10 of his 14 points come in the second half for the Wolves (3-6).
Sequim hosts Bainbridge tonight in its regular-season finale and will hit the road for an Olympic League Tournament game against a to-be-determined opponent Saturday.

SILVERDALE — The Wolves fought through some poor shooting and a tighly called game to secure the win and the No. 2 seed to the Olympic League Tournament.
“We struggled with finishing our shots this game, shooting 32 percent overall,” coach Linsay Rapelje said. “We were also in early foul trouble and had to make adjustments to the calls.”
Rapelje used a third-quarter timeout to refocus the team.
“I told the girls in a timeout that this game was all mental, and they needed to dig deep and focus on the things they could control like tough defense and getting the boards,” Rapelje said. “And they did.”
Jayla Julmist scored 13 of her game-high 17 points in the second half and grabbed 12 rebounds, two steals and two assists.
Melissa Porter scored 15 with four steals and four assists.
Rapelje said Jelissa Julmist was her player of the game.
“She had great help defense and had her own double-double with 11 points, 14 boards, four assists and three steals.”
And point guard Hannah Bates also earned praise.
“She played great defense and extremely well with such tight coverage all game,” Rapelje said.
Sequim (8-1) will host Olympic in a regular-season finale Friday and then host an Olympic League Tournament game against the No. 7 seed at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Port Angeles 57, Olympic 18
SILVERDALE — The Roughriders rolled up the Trojans to set up a three-team dual for the Olympic League regular season championship at home Saturday.
“As a coach, I can’t be any happier than the way Port Angeles wrestling team wrestled,” coach Rob Gale said.
“Every kid came out tonight wanting to wrestle, and it showed. Team effort, which still keeps our hopes alive for the league trophy.”
The Riders will wrestle Bremerton and defending league champ North Kitsap at home starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Port Angeles picked up wins by Natalie Johnson (106 pounds), Faye Dahcs (120), Ethan Abrams (132), Adam Borde (145), Zach Gavin (152), Corey Young (170), Tom Arand (182), Trevor Collins (195), Daniel Cable (220) and Lance Menes at heavyweight.
Exhibition match winners for Port Angeles were Jack Harrelson, Kennedy Bruch and Tony McMahon.
