QUILCENE — State-playoff bound Quilcene was well-represented on the Sea-Tac All-League football team.
Three Rangers earned first-team nods in voting by league coaches.
Senior lineman Nate Weller was a first-team selection on both sides of the ball.
Seniors Eli Harrison and A.J. Prater were first-team picks at defensive back.
Zack Collins was a second-team pick on the defensive line for Quilcene.
Evergreen Lutheran running back Jake Lawrence was picked as SeaTac League MVP.
Coach of the Year honors went to Seattle Lutheran’s Anthony Stordahl.
The Rangers (7-2) defeated Tulalip Heritage 46-44 to qualify for their second consecutive state tournament appearance.
Quilcene will play Taholah in the first round later this week.
All-League volleyball
The Rangers had four players receiver all-league honors from SeaTac League coaches.
Senior Alex Johnsen and sophomore Emily Hitt were voted to the first team, while Bailey Kieffer and Allison Jones, both juniors, were picked for the second team.
Quilcene has claimed two straight state trophies and is headed back to state this season. The Rangers’ future appears to be just as bright as the past and with three non-seniors receiving all-league honors.
