PORT ANGELES — Class 1A boys state champion Ryan Clarke of Port Townsend and Olympic League girls champion Gracie Long of Port Angeles lead the Olympic League all-league cross country teams.
Clarke is joined by a host of Sequim and Port Angeles runners on the boys team.
Brendon Despain, Jackson Oliver, Mikey Cobb, CJ Daniels and Peter Ohnstad, all of Sequim, were selected, along with Peter Butler and Simon Shindler of Port Angeles.
Sequim coach Harold Huff was picked as boys Coach of the Year after leading the Wolves to an Olympic League championship and second place overall at the state meet.
On the girls side, Long capped her freshman season by finishing 13th at the 2A state meet.
Long’s teammates Annika Pederson, Willow Suess and Lael Butler joined her on the all-league team.
Sequim’s Waverly Shreffler and Emily Webb also were selected, along with Port Townsend’s Hannah Trailer.
Port Angeles head coach Cheryl Gerardi was tabbed as the girls Coach of the Year after leading the Roughriders to 13th place at state.
The Port Angeles boys and girls teams also earned the league’s sportsmanship award.
Forks honors
Forks girls soccer players Tristina Smith and Rebekah Johanson were each named second-team All-Evergreen League.
Smith and Johanson each played goalkeeper for the Spartans.
Forks junior Sarah Adams earned honorable mention on the Evergreen League all-league volleyball team.
Montesano senior Megan Choate was selected as MVP.
Girls Bowling

SILVERDALE — The Wolves fell to 1-2 on the season, falling to the Eagles at All Star Lanes.
Kaitlyn Jackson led Sequim on Tuesday with a two-game total of 266, followed by Tenille Tosland with 234 and Dakota Henderson with 213.
Judi Villella had 193 points and Jayme McIntyre finished with 186.
The Wolves took the first game 556-513 before being edged 552-544 in the second. They also dropped both Baker-format games.
Sequim next travels to face North Mason at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.
